Our Philosophy
At Yorkie Envy, we believe that every puppy deserves to be healthy, happy, and loved. That's why we focus on breeding dogs that are not only beautiful and exotic but also have excellent temperaments, well socialized and are free of any genetic health issues.
About us
At Yorkie Envy, we are a small but very selective breeder that offers AKC and APRI Yorkshire Terriers in a variety of colors. Our parents and up and coming parents are Traditional Blue & Gold, Traditional Blue & Tan, Traditional Black & Tan, Dark Traditional, Chocolate Merle, Black Merle, Blueberry Merle and Gold Dust Merle. Many come from American and International Champion bloodlines.
We are committed to maintaining breed standards and that is why we source our breeding parents worldwide. Our parents are Registered and DNA Health Tested prior to breeding so our puppies are free of hereditary diseases. We use Embark and Wisdom for our DNA testing of parents.

Prior to going home, your pup will be up to date on their shots, completely dewormed as a precaution and vet checked. You will also go home with a puppy pack which consists of a blanket with mom and litter mates' scent, a bag of Royal Canine dog food to get them started, a stuffed pet toy, pee pads and maybe even something for mom and dad!
All of our puppies are sold as "PET only" therefore, we have a very strict spay and neuter policy. On rare occasion, we will consider "full registration" but only if you are a breeder who shares similar goals and values and only after we have discussed your breeding program.
We have spent a lot of time looking for the perfect Dams and Sires for our program. We have developed great relationships with very ethical and experienced breeders from the US and Europe who share the same goal of perfecting this beautiful breed.
Family
Our parents and puppies are raised in our home as part of our family. They have been fully socialized with small children, larger pets and with lots of LOVE!!!!!!
To dock or not to dock
This topic comes up often. Everyone has their personal opinions and preferences on the subject. We will never ask.
As the name suggests, Yorkshire Terriers originate from Yorkshire, England where the tail is traditionally not docked. In fact, many of the States in the European Union ban cropping and docking because they consider the practices unnecessary. There is no medical reason to dock the tail of a Yorkie dog other than for aesthetic purposes or so that the dog fits the breed standard of certain dog clubs that may call for it for show purposes. Again, this is a personal preference.
That being said, we will only dock tails if the new parents prefer to have them docked and only with a signed contract, deposit and prior to the litter being born. Tail docking should be done between 1-3 days from birth and need to be scheduled accordingly.

Our prices are on a case-by-case basis and depend upon the varying aspects of each pup! We do not price puppies until they are around 6 weeks old. The reason we choose to wait is so that we can better gage their estimated weight, characteristics, etc.
To ensure that we respond to serious inquiries from perfect match homes, we require a non-refundable, non-transferable $500 deposit to reserve any puppy.
This deposit will be applied to the price of the puppy.
The remaining balance will be due at time of delivery or pick up.

We want to make sure that our Yorkie's lives are the best possible! From birth to placement and beyond, we want them to find loving homes, with wonderful people. We will require a contract with our families to ensure the health and safety of our pups for years to come. We also provide a lifetime of support to our puppy owners, including advice on training, nutrition, and any other questions you may have.

I offer free delivery within a 4-hour radius from Albuquerque on days that are convenient for my schedule. Should you require your pup be delivered on a specific date, then there will be a transport fee.
We also have a great Lap Nanny that for a fee, can fly your puppy to your nearest airport, cabin only. We will not ship cargo.
You have the option to pick up your puppy here locally.

- Do not take your pup outside to walk on grass or dirt until he has completed all his vaccinations to avoid bacterial infections
- Do not leave dog collars on a pup that is not being supervised. They can injure or choke themselves if it gets caught on something like kennel, bedding, etc.
- Remove any loose pieces on dog toys to avoid choking
